ARMY FITNESS TEST TOOLS

Army Fitness Test calculators that show their work

Seven free tools for the AFT, the Combat Field Test and Army body composition. Every number comes from a published Army directive, and every page carries the date we last checked it.

Every Army tool on this site

Each one has its own page with the full standards, the sources behind them, and what most other calculators get wrong.

THE MAIN ONE

AFT Calculator

Score all five AFT events against the current Army scoring scales. It shows your points per event, your total out of 500, and the 60-point floor on every event, so you can see how close you are rather than just whether you passed. It also names your cheapest next point.

SCORE CHART

AFT Score Chart

Every point value from 100 down to the 60-point floor, for all five events, across all ten age bands and both scoring columns. Not just the 60, 80 and 100 rows.

COMBAT FIELD TEST

Combat Field Test

Check whether the CFT applies to your MOS, see how often you test, plan your splits, and run the clock across all seven events inside 30 minutes.

BODY COMPOSITION

Army Body Fat Calculator

Waist-to-height ratio worked out the way DA Form 5500 does it: three readings, each rounded down, averaged, then truncated to three decimals.

PROFILES

AFT Alternate Events

Which events you take on a permanent profile, which alternate cardio event applies, and the score you actually need to pass.

FOR NCOs

AFT Grader Assistant

Score a whole roster on one screen. Points appear as you type, failures flag instantly, and the CSV exports ready for DA Form 705.

TRAINING

2-Mile Run Pace Calculator

Turn a target two-mile time into lap splits, a race plan with an adjustable negative split, and the paces to train at.

Why the numbers here are different

The Army changed the AFT, the body composition standard and the combat specialty list inside eighteen months. A lot of what ranks on Google has not caught up.

01

Sourced, not copied

Every figure traces to a directive, a regulation or a form, cited by number. Army Directive 2026-13. DA Form 5500. Enclosure 2 of AD 2026-07. If we cannot source it, we do not publish it.

02

Dated, so you can judge it

Each tool carries the date we last checked it against the source. A fitness page with no date on it is asking you to trust that nothing has changed.

03

We publish our own mistakes

The changelog lists corrections to this site, including ones nobody would have noticed. It is the only honest way to claim accuracy.

Start with the calculator, then check the chart

Run your last diagnostic through the AFT calculator to see where your points sit, then use the score chart to find the raw number you need for the next one. Nothing here is an official score. Only a certified grader entering results into DTMS produces that.
